17 years after it first launched, the popular Nokia 3310 model has staged a come back into the market, taking the iconic design of the original 3310 and making it a classic for 2017.
Nokia sold 126 million units of the original 3310 since September 2000 when it was first introduced, apparently that was before the days of the iPhones and Android. It was characterized with toughness and a long lasting battery life and also not forgetting the Snake game. What a Nostalgic feeling to have this Snake game back on our palms.
The 3310 was unveiled in Spain at the Mobile World congress (MWC) with a modern design that looks close to its original version. Just like its predecessor, the new Nokia 3310 promises an extended battery life of one month on standby and up to 22 hours of talk time.
The new Nokia 3310 will be sold by HMD Global, a Finnish company with exclusive licence of the Nokia brand for phones and tablets.
In a world characterized by a frequent and continuous advancement in technology, where people receive emails on the go, where fast internet is the love of many, the 3310 will not be able to compete side by side because of its limited internet capability. However it can always pass as a second phone or simply for a set of people who don’t wish to waste battery life on Snapchat and Instagram.
