The competition will enable a new generation of social entrepreneurs to create positive change. Before now, Angola and South Africa were the African countries that were allowed in the competition. But from the 2016 edition, startups in Nigeria can now compete for a share of the $1 million funding.

Hence if you have a business that makes the world better and the ambition to match, it’s time to step forward and enter the competition.
In the official call for applications, organizers said they are looking for established, for-profit start-ups from around the world that use business as a force for good.
They said: “Successful applicants will compete in local finals, but only the most promising one from each country will be selected as a global finalist and have the chance to win a share of The Venture’s $1Million fund. If you have a business that creates positive change, it’s time to step forward.
