You probably know about TrueCaller, Now TrueMessenger is here

Truecaller app has helped a lot of people identify who their callers are even when they do not have the numbers stored on their phones. Now, the company, True Software, has taken another leap by introducing a new application called Truemessenger.

As implied from the name, the Truemessenger application is a messenger app that hopes to do for SMS what Truecaller did for calls. Like other SMS apps, it shows you a list of all the messages you have received and identifies the senders of the messages whether or not their names are stored on your device, even with pictures.

Other than being able to identify your sender, you can spam a sender so that you do not see their messages anymore. This will work very well for the ladies who have some rather disturbing stalkers, perhaps guys have stalkers too. There are multiple options available to you on this front – you can block an individual number, a series of number (e.g. everything starting with 9999) or block a name, so all messages from that person or company gets blocked irrespective of the number that they use.

The design of the app itself is pretty minimal and pleasing with a cheerful blue theme, and you can quickly change your default messaging app through the Truemessenger settings, so if you want to return to your default app or Hangouts, that’s easy to do as well.

Unfortunately for other OS users, the Truemessenger app was launched on the Play Store (available only in India for now but a global rollout is expected soon enough) and like company’s other apps Truecaller and Truedialler, Truemessenger is also a free application.
