Adobe announces new collab and editing features for Frame.io and Premiere Pro

These features introduced by Adobe are designed to enhance the collaboration and efficiency of video production teams, especially in remote or hybrid environments.

Adobe has announced new collaboration and editing features for Frame.io and Premiere Pro, two of its popular video production tools. Frame.io is a cloud-based platform that allows video editors and reviewers to share feedback and collaborate on projects. Premiere Pro is a professional video editing software that integrates with Frame.io.

The new features include:

  • Frame.io Camera to Cloud: This feature allows users to upload footage from compatible cameras directly to Frame.io, where they can be viewed and edited in real-time. This eliminates the need for transferring files via cards or hard drives, and speeds up the workflow.
  • Frame.io Review Pages: It allows users to create custom web pages to share their videos with clients or collaborators, who can leave comments and annotations without needing a Frame.io account. Users can also control the access and permissions of each page, and track the viewing activity and feedback.
  • Frame.io Proxy Workflow: This feature allows users to work with proxy files in Premiere Pro, which are smaller and lower-resolution versions of the original files. This reduces the bandwidth and storage requirements, and improves the performance and stability of the editing process. Users can switch between proxy and original files with a single click, and Frame.io will automatically sync the changes.
  • Frame.io Adobe Panel: With this, users can access Frame.io from within Premiere Pro, without opening a separate browser window. Users can import and export files, view comments and annotations, and manage their projects from the panel.

These features are designed to enhance the collaboration and efficiency of video production teams, especially in remote or hybrid environments. Adobe says that these features will be available in the coming months for Frame.io and Premiere Pro users.
