WhatsApp is introducing a new feature designed to enhance video-watching control within the app.
This development came in response to users’ requests for more seamless video navigation, reducing the need to rely solely on the progress bar. Available only to beta testers for now, the newly introduced video playback controls offer users the ability to rewind or fast forward videos in 10-second increments.
The design of these control buttons bears a resemblance to the user-friendly layout often seen on YouTube.
In addition to these playback controls, WhatsApp is also actively developing a new privacy-focused feature called ‘Alternate Profile.’
This feature empowers users to mask certain information, such as their profile photo, enabling the use of distinct photos and names for contacts not included in their list.
