The registration for National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) Batch A, stream II is on.
The registration portal is open till 31st of March when all registrations will close.
The online registration process can be quite a lot so, here is a guide to help all prospective corps members with ease through the process.
Before you begin the process, you need
1. Senate list verification
Only graduates whose names appear on the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their institutions will be able to register. Verify your information on the NYSC verification portal using your matriculation number. Ensure your details are on the list and uploaded correctly.
2 . Have the following ready and available:
I. Functional Email address
II. Active and accessible Phone Number NYSC will use these for communication, so ensure they are active and accessible.
IIII. Valid means of Identification: This can be NIN, International passport or voter’s card.
IV. Academic Credentials which includes
- Originals and photocopies of your final year ID card
- statement of results (B.Sc. or HND) endorsed by an authorized officer
- any additional certificates required for your field of study (applicable to medical students, etc.).
- a clear, passport-sized photograph with a clean, off-white background.
Registration
Here are the steps for registering for the NYSC 2024:
1. Create an Account
Head to the NYSC registration portal https://portal.nysc.org.ng/ and create an account using your functional email address.
2. Activate Your Account
Check your email for the activation link and click on it to activate your newly created account.
3. Fill Out Your Details & Capture Biometrics
Carefully fill out your details as required on the portal.
These include your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, state of origin, local government area (LGA), institution attended and Matriculation Number.
Ensure that all are filed in correctly, avoiding errors in spellings and numbers.
The required details also include capturing your biometrics and uploading a passport photograph
Note that Biometric capturing cannot be done by proxy. You may need to visit a public registration centre if you do not have the equipment needed.
4. Select state of service
You’ll be required to choose your preferred state of service for the NYSC program.
Be aware that your choice may not be your final outcome as it can be altered based on national needs.
5. Pay registration fees
Use the Remita platform integrated into the portal for your payment.
The NYSC registration fee is typically around ₦2,786.24. Other transactional charges may be included . Follow the instructions carefully to ensure a successful payment process.
6. Preview your registration form
Look through your registration form to ensure all details are accurate and no field is empty or ommited.
7. Agreement:
Agree to the registration terms and conditions. Tick the agreement box
8. Append signature
Scan your signature and Upload, or use a digital signature scanner to sign electronically.
9. Click submit and keep your login details safe for future use.
Concessional Posting
NYSC allows you to apply for concessional posting based on marital or health grounds. information on the required documents for each type of concessional posting are available on the website.
