A new Twitter update now allows service users upload more than one photo and also tag other users in photo uploads. The announcement was made on the official Twitter blog saying users can now tag up to 10 other users in their photos.
The company also noted that tagging people will not count toward the limit of 140 characters which probably sounds encouraging because we expect that tagging many users would limit the amount of the available characters.
The ability to upload multiple photos and tag other users has been available on facebook for some time, now twitter is joining the league by expanding the number of photos users can upload from 1 to 4. This update will permit twitter users to share up to four photos in a single tweet and will be most welcomed by people who like to take selfies and upload.
While photo tagging should be available on Android right now, the multiple uploads feature is only available on iOS at the moment. Twitter says it should be coming to Android soon, but didn’t specify a time for release while people who use twitter on PC will have to wait for both features to arrive.
The update allowing photo tagging should be up on the Google Play Store by now. Twitter also mentioned that tagged users and multiple photos will appear in embedded tweets as well.
