Ghana’s capital city of Accra has been announced as the host city for this year’s Africa Summit on Women & Girls in Tech organised by the Alliance for Affordable Internet (A4AI). It also said July 25, 2016 is the deadline for submission of papers for presentation at this year’s Summit.
Scheduled to hold September 13 and 14th, the summit will feature leading African women in technology and ICT policy who will debate solutions and contribute to the policy processes that will bridge the digital gender gap in Africa.
“We are looking to feature women-led initiatives that address at least one of the summit’s focus areas: affordable broadband, women’s rights online, digital education and skills, and digital entrepreneurship. You may propose a presentation in the format of a light talk, demo, or poster,” organizers stated in a statement.
