AI Chatbot for Domestic Violence – Lagos launches ‘Ask INU’ for survivor support.

AI Chatbot for Domestic Violence: Ask INU

Ask INU (I Need You) is an AI-powered WhatsApp chatbot. It provides immediate information and referrals to survivors. By messaging 0812 893 7058 on WhatsApp, users can get confidential and accurate support. This chatbot ensures that survivors and their helpers access the right resources quickly.

Self-Reporting Evidence Portal

The evidence portal is part of the Domestic and Sexual Violence Case Management System (DSVCMS). Survivors can securely submit case details and upload evidence, such as pictures, videos, or medical reports. The portal is accessible via lagosdsvcms.org under the ‘Report’ tab.

Why These Innovations Matter

Evidence preservation is key to justice. Reports show that 60% of survivors lose or delete evidence before legal action. The new portal allows survivors to securely store and retrieve evidence when needed. This improvement strengthens prosecution and supports fair trials.

Leveraging Technology for Justice

The DSVA aims to use technology to combat domestic violence. These innovations help break the culture of silence and ensure perpetrators face justice. Survivors can now access timely support and better legal outcomes.

The AI chatbot for domestic violence and the evidence portal mark a new era in survivor support. With these tools, Lagos State enhances access to justice and protection. Survivors now have a secure and efficient way to seek help and hold offenders accountable.
