Amazon launches Fire Max 11, the biggest tab in the market

Amazon says its new Fire Max 11 is 3 times as durable as the 10.9inch iPad due to its aluminum frame design and toughened glass.

Amazon has launched its biggest tablet yet called the Fire Max 11. The Fire Max 11 has an 11inch screen and supports 2000×1200 resolution with a 5:3 aspect ratio. Before now, Amazon’s biggest tablet was the Amazon Fire HD10.

The company says its new Fire Max 11 is 3 times as durable as the 10.9inch iPad due to its aluminum frame design and toughened glass. Powered by an Octa – Core, MediaTek processor, the Fire Max has 5GB of RAM with batteries built for the long haul at 14hrs of battery life.

The tablet comes with a 9W USB 2.0 charger which takes 4.2hrs to fully charge the device. The charging time can be reduced to 3.5hrs with a 15W charger.

Both front and rear cameras are 8MP cameras, well suited for clean visuals during video calls.

In the compatibility department, the Max 11 is compatible with Bluetooth 5.3 headphones and also comes with dual Dolby Atmos support speakers for videos.

Priced at $229.99 and available in both 64GB and 129GB storage options, the Max 11 comes cheaper than the 10.9 inch iPad which costs $449(64GB) and $599 for 256GB.

With Alexa integration for voice command, it also offers a Show Mode to control compatible smart home devices.

Built with family in mind, the Fire Max 11 enables users to create multiple profiles for sharing: 2 adults and 4 kids, granting the user access to Amazon kids contents and parental control.

Rolling out with it is a keyboard case that can be attached to it through pogo pins, and a stylus.

The complete package, which consists of the tablet, the magnetic keyboard case and the stylus costs $329.99.

The Fire Max 11 is available for preorders now, to be shipped out next month and Amazon is offering a three month subscription to Microsoft Office 365 personal plan to buyers.
