Here is good news, Samsung has began rolling out the Android 4.4 KitKat Update for Galaxy Note II globally.

The update brings the latest Android KitKat 4.4.2 version which will offer better smoothness and lots of other improvements to the device. The update for the Galaxy Note 2 brings all the KitKat-specific features found on other Samsung devices, including support for cloud printing, NFC tap-to-pay support, all white icons in the status bar, full-screen album art, and the ability to put a camera shortcut on the lockscreen.

Samsung’s latest TouchWiz features also comes on board with the Samsung KNOX security suite and Samsung’s own mobile payments app, Samsung Wallet.

The first country to get the new update is France, but should be extending to other countries very soon. It is available over-the-air, so you should start keeping an eye on the Settings->About->Software Update.
