Nigeria’s already highly competitive tech space is set to get even more competitive with the decision of yet another OEM company to compete in the Nigerian market. The latest entrant is Konka Mobile.
The company said it is determined to offer Nigerians value for money. Announcing the official launch at an interactive session with journalists in Lagos, Elens Eigbokhan, Principal Partner of Mansales Nigeria Ltd, affirmed that Konka Mobile is in Nigeria to put an end to what Nigerians experience from mobile phone manufacturers.
“Most phones bought by Nigerians do not represent the actual specifications they claimed to have. He said Nigerians are entitled to value for money and that is what Konka phones guarantee,” he said.
Eigbokhan disclosed that Mansales Nigeria Ltd went into partnership with Konka Mobile early 2015 having realised the suffering Nigerian phone users go through with the kind of phones they use.
In his remark at the session, the Overseas Division Sales Manager of Konka Telecommunications Technology Co. Ltd, Mr Evangelos Hsieh said the company has come to Nigeria to offer the kind of quality phones Nigerians were longing for. He said the OEM company would study Nigerians in order to manufacture phones that would suit their needs.
