iOS 9 which is the new mobile operating system for the iPhone and iPad has been announced during the developers conference today. The software will be released later this fall.
The new iOS 9 got new updates to the maps, built-in apps got a boost while Siri got a big update. Just like Google Now, Siri will attempt to guess what you know before you ask it. iOS Proactive Assistant will offer relevant information and suggest actions with its updated predictive tools. It will suggest apps to launch or contact based on your usage. It can also learn music habits and suggest music you want to hear.
With the ios 9, Apple is elevating the ipad experience to a whole new level with the addition of new multitasking feature.
Apple also said the new OS will include battery optimization and a new low-power saving mode. This means users will have more battery juice on their devices. Battery life will be extended by one hour while the power saving option will add an extra three hours.
Other features include an Install Later which can perform updates to your device when its not in use. Passcodes will also be strengthened with an improvement in two-factor authentication.
The iOS 9 beta software and SDK are available now for iOS Developer.
