The Dubai Innovation Impact Grant is an initiative of EXPO Live, organized towards the upcoming Dubai Expo 2020. The initiative provides startups with funds to accelerate and promote creative solutions to preserve the planet.
Eligibility:
- Startups, entrepreneurs, SMEs, NGOs, government entities
- Innovations must be at the prototype level or beyond
- Benefits society, environment, or is for a humanitarian cause
- Any sector, any country
- Legally registered entities
Evaluation Criteria:
The Dubai Innovation Impact Grant Expo has devised a comprehensive evaluation process that assesses applications on the following four key criteria.
- Alignment with Expo 2020 Dubai objectives: Is the project relevant to the Expo theme and subthemes?
- Innovativeness: How does the solution differ from existing solutions? Is it meaningful and inspiring?
- Impact: Who is benefiting, or intended to benefit, from the solution? Are the benefits meaningful?
- Quality of submission: Is the submission substantial?
Benefits:
The programme will award funds up to USD 100,000 per application depending on the maturity and scalability of innovations. It’s not only about providing innovators with access to financing, successful grant recipients will also be offered the following:
- Networking and Partnership Opportunities: Connecting innovators to an international network of participating nations, corporate partners, regional and global businesses, as well as many millions of anticipated visitors.
- Marketing and Communications Exposure: To increase a project’s global visibility and impact, the Expo Live programme includes extensive marketing and communication exposure, and outreach programmes.
