Apply for CcHub’s “Let’s Build, Africa” program

Co-creation Hub has announced the launch of its innovative market entry program. “Let’s Build, Africa.

Co-creation Hub is Africa’s leading technology innovation ecosystem builder on a mission to accelerate the application of science, technology, and social capital for economic prosperity across Africa. 

The program “Let’s Build, Africa” is designed to empower African startups to expand their horizons and enter new markets within the continent.

It is aimed at supporting startups that are poised for cross-border growth but require strategic insights and support to navigate new ecosystems.

Ojoma Ochai, MD of CcHUB Africa, expressing great expectations for the initiative, commented:

With “Let’s Build, Africa,”  startups will be empowered with the tools and connections needed to thrive across Africa. We believe that by facilitating cross-border growth, we can significantly contribute to Africa’s economic integration and innovation landscape.”

Program Objectives:

The objectives of the initiative include:

● To facilitate Cross-Border Expansion: the initiative will support startups in gaining insights and access to . new markets across Africa.

● To strengthen Intercontinental Ties: Foster collaboration and investment opportunities between startups and local stakeholders in target markets.

● To boost Economic Integration:  by facilitating easier market access for innovative businesses, the program will improve the economic integration of the African continent.

Program Components:

The program is a package consisting of the following parts; 

1.     Pitch Sessions: Selected startups will participate in pitch events to refine their business models and receive feedback.

2.     Ecosystem Tours: Participating startups will undergo facilitated tours in key markets such as Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, and Namibia.

3.     Product Showcases: Startups will showcase their products to a curated audience of collaborators, investors, and potential customers.

4.     Market Linkages and Support: Over a six-month period, startups will receive ongoing support from CcHUB’s team of experts to build and strengthen market linkages.

Benefits of The Program:

1. Opportunity to pitch in front of key ecosystem players, and potential investors.

2. One-on-one meetings with potential customers, collaborators, and investors 

3.  Six months of post trip support to strengthen linkages made during ecosystem tour / advisory services on the target market.

4. Travels and  tailored ecosystem tours in one of the focus countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, or Namibia.

5.  Access to Market Opportunity Packs (MOP) into the countries the innovators will visit.

6. Opportunity to showcase your products to a curated audience of collaborators, investors, and potential customers.

Programs Impact:

By the end of the program, startups will have made substantial progress in entering new markets, forging valuable partnerships, and setting themselves up for investment and growth. 

This development will have a significant impact on fostering intra-African trade and collaboration within Africa, thereby driving economic growth and fostering innovation across the continent.

Eligibility Criteria:

Startups are invited to apply for the program with a focus on readiness for market expansion and innovative solutions adaptable to diverse markets.

● The startup must be registered in an African country.

● At least one of the founders must be an African national.

● The startup should be at the scale up stage
