Google has announced that applications for the Google for Startups Growth Academy: Cybersecurity program are now open. Stating specifically it is for Seed to Series A startups based in Europe, the application will consider startups looking to scale internationally.
The academy is a three-month program that will begin in April with workshops run by a mix of Google and industry experts in the EU. Successful startups will receive dedicated mentoring across strategy, sales, and partnerships — including from Google executives at VirusTotal and Mandiant, and other leading European companies — and connect with other entrepreneurs focused on cybersecurity.
Loosely reminiscent of Google’s Hustle academy hosted in Africa, the program will be built around three in-person moments taking place in Europe, including in Málaga, the home of a new Google Safety Engineering Center for joint research on advanced threats opening this year.
Other criteria include;
- Startups need to be focused on an element of cybersecurity, such as: prevention, protection, research, and/or threat analysis and threat sharing
- Startups must have demonstrated traction (users, revenue).
- Startups must have a scalable product or service, with both a significant total addressable market and a defensible growth model.
Applications opened January 10, 2023 and will close February 12, 2023. Apply here.
