BBM Finally Lands on Samsung Smartphones

bbm hits samsung phone, Active Users

Finally, Samsung Mobile Nigeria revealed on Monday via twitter that the famous BBM app is crossing platform onto select Samsung Galaxy phones.

The new BBM app will have instant messaging and group chat from the start, with voice call to play catch up.

As we have earlier reported that BBM will soon be onto Android phones and that Samsung smartphones will have it first, it’s happening sooner than expected but to the delight of ex-blackberry lovers. This present deal is exclusive to Samsung as it is happening for the next 3 months, starting from Friday, September 20, even though BlackBerry is distancing itself from commenting on any development.

Since BlackBerry announced it would open up BBM to other phones, some bad elements have targeted BlackBerry owners with different fake BBM apps, deceiving BBM fans into downloading the fake app and then hitting them with spams, fake ads or worse.

BlackBerry has struggled against the iPhone and more affordable Android phones in recent years and the desire of many phone users have waned even as the Canadian company critically considers its future.

Will you still buy a BlackBerry? Will you return to BBM? Is the BBM still your best IM service or just another option? Share your thoughts in the comments section below or start a conversation on our Facebook page.
