Bode Abifarin , the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Flutterwave company has resigned.
She made the announcement in a LinkeIn post yesterday.
Abifarin has been with Flutterwave for six years. She joined the giant startup as its COO in 2018 after spending 15 years at KPMG Nigeria
Reminiscing on her times at Flutterwave , she noted ;
“It’s been a cocktail of highs, lows, victories and failures, hitting milestones, losing milestones, all wrapped up in a story of resilience with the ultimate satisfaction of solving payment problems for our customers”
In the LinkedIn post, Abifarin disclosed that she is dedicating her new phase to her passion for “teaching, inspiring, and nurturing the next generation of global businesses.”
She wrote;
“In this next phase, I will be sharing a lot more using my voice and my pen. I will continue to nurture new businesses and focus on building, teaching and education.”
She also hinted at doing a lot more as time progresses as she added
“There are a lot more things in the pipeline, and I’ll inform you as we go,”
Flutterwave has experienced multiple exits of its top executives in the last 4 months.
In November 2023, the company saw the exit of 3 of its top execs.
- Oneal Bhambani, former CFO
- Oscar Lan, former Global Head of Strategic Finance and FP&A, and
- Rebecca Mendel, Controller
The company also just recently announced the appointment of Africa’s Starchitect Olajumoke Adenowo as a member of its global Board of Directors toward solidifying its pan-African and global positioning.
