Another Nigerian, Michael Emenalo is also on the payroll of the team, serving in the position of a technical director.
Chelsea FC won the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 football seasons respectively, and they are presently contending for top spots in the Barclays Premier League, UEFA Champions League, and FA Cup of this current campaign.
There could be several reasons why Nigerian fans adore Chelsea FC; maybe it’s because of their rich status or their style of play or the presence of the Nigerian element in the team. Whatever the reason could be, Chelsea FC has warmed themselves solidly into the hearts of the Nigerian football buffs.
