Coven Works Inc, a US-based AI education company, with operations in Nigeria, and Infinity Solutions, a Malawi-based Information technology company are partnering together to provide cutting-edge emerging technology skills to enable Malawians to acquire the needed digital skills to become employable and grow the economy. The partnership is based on a signed MoU on the 3rd of March with Infinity Solutions with a focus on providing Malawians 200+ hours of free learning on key emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Big data, Cloud Computing, and Software Development.
Dr. Charles Fodya of Infinity Solutions while sharing his excitement for this collaboration says “It is beyond comprehension. To offer access to high-quality education material beyond the confines of classroom blocks is a transformation that will go a long way for Malawi learners. The learners need to embrace this transformation. As Jeanne W. Ross once said, and I quote, ” …the thing that’s transforming is not the technology — it’s the technology that is transforming our access to education”. It’s such a joy that Malawi will benefit from this transformation, and I am so happy to be part of this effort.”
On signing the MoU, the Country Head of Operations for Coven Works, Mr. Adedeji Dare revealed that Coven Works Inc already has the framework to kick start training of top technology skills such as Artificial Intelligence and Big Data to grow talents within the country. In the past three years, Coven Works has graduated more than 4,000 students and indirectly impacted 30,000 students through its curriculum.
He believes that gone were the days when people survived as illiterates or with poor sets of skills in information and communication technology. He said, “To survive in this era, you must be at the top of the game, changing and trying out new things that suit the ecosystem” Dare continued.
Furthermore, he added that Coven Works Inc is partnering with Universities to help students acclimatize with the necessary skills for information and communication technology. “This is of double advantage: apart from making the students well-grounded on ICT – most often with one on one classroom interactions with clients and business partners – it also offers students the opportunity to be ready for jobs, since they have been equipped with proper know-how on ICT.”
With the recently concluded training of 130 Malawian students, Coven Works Inc. has revealed its new action plan to empower 5,000 youths of Malawi over the next two years by providing the right skills gap in making youth employable which promotes and supports Small & Medium Enterprises on information technology.
Malawians are encouraged to participate in the upcoming Data Analysis classes scheduled for the rest of the year 2022. To attend the course, we urge participants to register through http://bit.ly/cwpowerBI
