Ekovolt Partners Microsoft to Deliver Affordable Internet Access

Ekovolt is a telecommunications company that wants to deliver internet access to SMEs and households in rural areas through TV white space.

White space is unused TV channels between the active ones in the VHF and UHF spectrum used to avoid interference with other channels. These unused channels can be used to access broadband Internet connectivity. So now, Ekovolt has partnered with Microsoft to deliver affordable Internet access and cloud solutions to underserved communities and small medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria.  This is a part of Microsoft’s Affordable Access Initiative with the aim of empowering people worldwide who do not have affordable access to the internet.

According to the company, there are some regions in Nigeria which are currently not connected as a result of them being in rural, remote or economically disadvantaged areas, and this company wants to make it possible to connect these regions via Volt Internet services. The Managing Director, Ekovolt , Emeka Ebo said, “we have always been passionate about providing the very best possible wireless broadband and technology services at the most affordable prices, so we are incredibly proud to be a part of this noble initiative as we truly believe in this and commend Microsoft for leading affordable access globally. We very much look forward to making an impact through the Affordable Access Initiative here at home (Nigeria).”

Volt Internet plans are unlimited and they are designed to deliver dedicated and reliable Internet connections to businesses (small or large).
