Elon Musk buys Twitter for $44billion. Tweets his agenda for company

Announcing the Twitter buyout, Musk who was Time person of the year 2021 tweeted a screenshot of a statement shared by Twitter board chair, Bret Taylor.

After a full on tweet exchange over the possibility of Elon Musk buying over Twitter from its founders and series of board meetings after it was revealed that he owned 9.2% shares of the company, Mr Space X, Elon Reeve Musk has now bought over Twitter for $44billion.

Pressure did mount on the shareholders to sell the company to Elon Musk after he made a bid too hard to beat or refuse. The eccentric 50year old entrepreneur had outlined an agenda if his bid was accepted by twitter. He promised that he would loosen content restrictions on Twitter and ban bots or automated accounts on the app as well as promote free speech.

While some Twitter users have threatened to boycott the app if it was sold to Musk, the company blog has kept mum about the reported sale and its official handles haven’t commented either.
