In a poll, Elon Musk sought the opinion of Twitter users on his role as the CEO of the company. This poll was live on the Twitter page of the billionaire and owner of Tesla. According to Musk, he would abide by the result of this poll. Or will he?
This is the second time Musk is using a poll to make a major decision about the affairs of Twitter. The first time was letting Twitter users vote on the controversial return of Donald Trump to the platform. This time, however, he has used the feature to question his leadership at the Twitter headquarters.
Taking to his Twitter account, Musk shared a poll which read “Should I step down as head of Twitter?” Options were “Yes” and “No.” The results of this poll weren’t a shock to the members of the Twitter community. Musk also bound himself to the result by saying he would “abide by the results.” Over 17.5 million accounts took part in the poll, and of that number, 57% ticked “Yes” while 43% went with “No.”
If his words are anything to go by, per abiding by the results, we should expect to see a new CEO of Twitter sooner than later. But, will the controversial Chief Twit step down as the CEO of Twitter?
The past few days have brought a lot of changes to the Twitter platform. Some of these changes were met with disapproval from many a Twitter user. Musk’s poll may have confirmed that most users need a change in the management at Twitter. But, finding out the emergence of a new CEO could be one more reason to keep going back to the app. Score?
