Elon Musk says Twitter will cost $8 and you get what you pay for!

Do not roll your eyes just yet. Twitter’s new owner Elon Musk is gleeful as a kid because he just got a new toy bought Twitter. This new acquisition of his has made him a tad more keyboard happy as he has made more random announcements than a conventional CEO would.4

After responding to a Twitter users complaint about not being verified by Twitter, the press went to town with claims that Twitter verification would now be included in Twitter Blue and would cost $19.99. While Musk did not confirm or deny any of the reports, users flooded the social media app with more complaints about how expensive $19.99 would be for a badge that they got free of charge.

As if in response to the queries, Musk tweeted his first conformation of the Twitter verification subscription rumors, first saying, all for $8 and then blurting that it would cost $8. A price that he may have reached upon haggling with author, Stephen King.

The announced $8 price tag, though $12 cheaper than speculated, is $3 more expensive than the current Twitter Blue subscription fee.

While this announcement has not been warmly received, Musk seems to be going ahead with it. With a reported November 7th deadline, the world looks to see what Twitter Blue will become and what exactly $8/month will cover.
