At a virtual media event held in California on Tuesday, Apple unveiled four new iPhones; the iPhone 13 mini, the iPhone 13, the iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. They succeed the iPhone 12 series released by Apple last year.
Below are the key features of the iPhone 13 series
Power: The mileage varies for battery life. Compared to iPhone 12 counterpart, both iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max has an extra battery life of 2.5 hours, while iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 pro has an extra1.5 hours. The iPhone 13 series have fast-charge capabilities with a 20W or higher adapter sold separately. With this adapter, the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Mini, and the iPhone 13 Pro can get up to 50% charge in 30 minutes. The iPhone 13 Pro Max gets up to 50% charge in 35 minutes.
The screen: iPhone 13 mini has a 5.4-inch screen, iPhone 13 includes a 6.1-inch OLED screen. iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models offer 6.1 and 6.7-inch OLED screens. Like the iPad Protection, the Pro Max models offer a higher refresh rate at 120Hz.
The Camera: The main camera is a 12MP wide-angle lens also built with a larger 1.7µm capable of capturing 50% more light. The Ultrawide camera has a larger f2.4 aperture, supporting a new cinematic mode that lets users focus between subjects while shooting. However, iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max are fashioned to film up to 4k resolution at 30 frames per second in ProRes, producing a video format of higher quality.
Memory: The iPhone 13 series which costs from $699 has three storage configurations, 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB.
Connectivity: iPhone 13 series have 5G support and Apple said that it will perform better than the iPhone 12 series, supporting 200 carriers across more than 60 countries and regions by the end of 2021.
iPhone 13 is available for preorder from Friday, September 17, and will release on September 24.
