Film Lab Africa, British Council Accelerator Programme for Emerging Nigerian Filmmakers

Film Lab Africa is a pioneering accelerator initiative launched by the British Council, tailored to empower emerging filmmakers and TV producers in Nigeria. 

The programme is meticulously designed to provide an all-encompassing framework of support for emerging  filmakers.

It is an avenue for growth, enhanced skills, enriched knowledge, and expanded networks. It  also  enables participants to showcase their creative productions effectively. 

Scheduled to kick-off this September, Film Lab Africa will span three dynamic years. 

Characterized by a multi-phase approach, the program delves into many parts of film making. These include; 

Eligibility Criteria 

The program is open to emerging filmmakers that are between 18 – 35 yrs old, resident in Nigeria and have a minimum of one credit in filmmaking & TV production.
