Flutterwave, Africa’s leading payments technology startup, has announced the appointment of Nigerian architect,Olajumoke Adenowo as a member of its global Board of Directors.
The appointment is part of the company’s efforts to drive its international expansion strategy.
Adenowo, is Flutterwave’s first independent non-executive board member.
According to a statement, the company expects her appointment to contribute to solidifying its pan-African and global positioning.

Described by CNN as “Africa’s Starchitect”, Olajumoke Adenowo has a successful career in architecture spanning over 35 years.
She leads a large portfolio of local and international projects at her architectural firm, AD Consulting.
She is the first African and First black architect published by Rizzoli, with her latest book. “Neo Heritage: Defining Contemporary African Architecture.”
A Forbes lister, she won the Forbes Woman African Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2020.

Founded in 2016, Flutterwave now has operations in about 30 African countries and remains confidently aggressive about global expansion .
The giant fintech startup recently gained access into Asia’s second-biggest economy, expanding into India.
