The maiden edition of Ghana’s National Startup Festival will hold next month (November) following a partnership agreement between Pan-African private equity and investment firm, Stillwater Equity Partners and Startup Cup Ghana.
The partners said the festival will bring together entrepreneurs, investors and ecosystem leaders at the British Council on November 7.
The event will involve networking, exhibitions, keynotes, workshops and awards, bringing together 4,000 visitors, 50 investors and more than 200 startup entrepreneurs.
Emmanuel Nyame, director of Startup Cup Ghana, said the festival will celebrate startups and will include a business model competition as well as free training, mentoring and pitch sessions.
The pitch competition will see the winner take part in the Annual World Startup Cup to battle finalists from other countries for investment and other services to grow their businesses. Entrepreneurs between the ages of 18 and 35 are encouraged to apply by October 10.
