From my point of view, Infinix is raising the bar; whether to compete favourably in the tablet market or to glaze it’s corporate image with a PR move. In any case, standards are being set. If they go on at this rate I think they can notch a bigger fraction of the market, but I don’t think it’ll be any immediate. More work, more innovative work, definitely should have them sorted. This is Gospel truth, no sophistry.
I ‘ran into’ the Joypad 8s when at a friend’s over the weekend, and its beauty trapped me. A glorious ascension into the world of uber cool and communication smartness, the Joypad 8s is a ‘beast’. Actually, it is both a smartphone and a tablet, hence earning it the title ‘phonetab’. I will try to explain with the fewest words possible, but the Joypad 8s is some reasonable innovation.
The tablet is innovative on many levels, with a sleekness that creates unbelievable climax. I would know. The Joypad 8s is a leap into the new age, a foray forward, into the future. In some quarters, people don’t exactly understand the buzz but they still resolve that the device is a real class act. Made more so by the facts of having a 4.2.1 Android OS, 204 x 142 x 8.8mm size and a Quad Core 1.2GHZ processor. Sit down, look at that and let it sink in.
And it isn’t finished. There is more. There is a 1G RAM, 16G Built-in storage, Memory Card Support expandable to 32G, an 8.0″ TFT, IPS display, and a XGA 1024 x 768 Resolution.
The specifications make you want to own one for yourself, then grab a few more for close buddies. The beauty of these all is that it’s interesting reviewing a brand without any particular attachments or emotional investments therein, because any closeness of sorts takes away the lustre that is objectivity.
For all the credit the Infinix Joypad 8s will get, the marketing strategy of tying up the device with the Hyundai i10 will be grossly positively acclaimed. And long lasting too.
Again, I know a lot of people that could say “He’s advocating Infinix? Seriously? Why on earth is he… oh, but the features are crazy though. Super amazing!” Because they perhaps have gone on to see for themselves that the Joypad 8s has a primary Camera [back] of 5MP, AF and a Secondary Camera [front] of 2MP, FF plus Flash. With a GPS, G-Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor and eCompass; there isn’t much more you can want in a tablet this affordable. And that’s the truth.
In the overall equation, the bumper gifts splash and all, people might be carried away for a while, but it won’t be for long. They’ll be brought back to reality in a flash, because when you have a device with 4150 mAh battery capacity, a SIM Card slot, and some carbon fibre effect cover with roundish model; it’s easy to see the Joypad 8s as an embodiment of superiority and efficiency, as an exquisite piece of sheer ‘tech-artistry’.
The team at Infinix went further with this device. They did. And judging from the on going promotionals, there is only going to be one tablet on the lips of the people. There’s only going to be one story doing the rounds this period -in all the smartphone/tab circles- at least for another couple of months, if not into the later parts of the year.
You see, what Infinix does with this is they’ve taken competition by the neck, firmly grabbing, pushing, jostling and expanding their tentacles in every way there is, with the Joypad 8s. I don’t know what more to say than to recommend the device. Honestly.
