Google has finally let the cat out of the bag announcing yesterday via Snapchat with a video on YouTube to back it up, that the official name for Android N is Android Nougat.
Nougat? I know right? I had to look up what the word meant. Turns out Nougat is a family of confections made with honey or sugar, whipped egg whites, roasted nuts and candies fruit (sometimes). When the majority of us were there thinking it’d be Nutella. Bet why? If not for anything, naming the Android N after the Nougat will definitely make the word more popular than it previously was.
The new Android OS was first announced in March and in a bid to increase the suspense around it, Google asked us to submit opinions or rather suggestions of what we felt the name could be.
In case you’re not aware, the new Android Nougat will come with some awesome features which include the multitasking feature, notification, settings, the introduced virtual reality, keyboard themes, its performance, new emoji and the Easter egg which is not so important but still necessary for those members of the Android family who understand its necessity.
