How Meta AI & Ray-Ban smart glasses will work

Meta AI can provide real-time information and generate images from text prompts while the Ray Ban Meta smart glasses will play music and save photos.

At the just concluded Meta Connect developer conference, Meta announced fun products for its teeming fans and critics alike.

In addition to its revolutionary mixed reality headset, the Quest 3, Meta announced the AI Studio platform, empowering businesses and developers to build custom AI chatbots.

To complement this, a sandbox tool will soon be available, allowing anyone to experiment with AI creation.

Meta AI

Meta AI, an advanced conversational assistant, is already in beta and accessible on WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and soon, on the Ray Ban Meta smart glasses and Quest 3.

Meta AI can provide real-time information and generate photorealistic images from text prompts in seconds, offering a dynamic and interactive experience.

Meta didn’t stop at conversational AI. They introduced AI stickers, a tool that simplifies the creation of customized stickers for charts and stories.

The introduction of Express Media Universe (EMU), an AI tool ensuring high-quality photorealistic images generated in just 5 seconds, will enhance visual content across the Meta ecosystem.

Users will soon have the ability to transform images or co-create AI-generated visuals with friends, thanks to upcoming features “restyle” and “backdrop” coming to Instagram.

Meta x Ray-Ban

The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses are set to change the way we experience wearable technology, and in addition to taking calls and playing music, these glasses boast an upgraded audio and microphone system, guaranteeing clear voice commands and crystal-clear calls.

They also double as a camera, equipped with lenses on the right temple. Users can store up to 500 photos and 100 30-second videos, with the option to livestream to Facebook or Instagram.

What truly sets the Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses apart from other smart glasses in the market, is their integration with Meta AI.

These glasses run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 processor starting at $299.

They will be available for purchase starting October 17th, 2023, and are set to usher in a new era of augmented reality experiences.
