Confirmation for the second season of Squid Game has hit the internet. While most people are curious as to what the next games have in store for Gi-hun, Netflix is throwing out actual prize money for those who wish to compete in a reality show spinoff, “Squid Game: The Challenge“.
Certain YouTube curators have already made attempts to create a real-life Squid Game contest. But they haven’t got the thrill that the original series came with. On its part, Netflix plans to perfectly create an actual Squid Game reality series. Having better knowledge of the series and funding to host such a reality series, Netflix is already accepting players.
The prize money is a whopping $4.56 million. Just like the series, a total of 456 people will go head to head against each other to win the prize money. Currently, there is no specific date for the premiere of the reality series, but its producers say to expect it early 2023. Netflix is also casting players from the UK, US and other parts of the world.
Because of the graphic and violent nature of the series, Netflix has had to clarify that no one will be hurt in the filming of the reality show and the age limit for applicants is 21 and above.
