Before going live on TikTok, make sure that you have a good internet connection and that your device’s camera and microphone are working properly. Always clean your camera with a damp cloth before hitting record.

Just like how you create regular TikTok videos, you can change various settings by tapping the three dots on the screen when live. You can flip the camera, add effects and filters, moderate comments, and even add up to 20 moderators.

To go live:

On Tiktok LIVE, there’s no limit to how long you can record which is why some Tiktokers do vigils with their live sessions. However, if you’re inactive for a long time or don’t complete the verification process, Tiktok will end the LIVE session automatically.

This is why Tiktok encourages users to engage with viewers. By responding to comments and answering questions, you can build a stronger relationship with your audience.

When you’re done with the live stream, tap the “X” icon in the top left corner of the screen to end it. TikTok will save the live stream as a video on your profile, so your followers can watch it later if they missed the live broadcast.
