International Association of Women Microsoft Certified Partners and Women in technology Nigeria (IAMCP WIT Nigeria) would be launching on the 24th of May at BVC Consulting Ltd. 32, Barikisu Iyede Street, off University of Lagos Road, Yaba, Lagos.
IAMCP WIT Nigeria which had started in Nigeria in 2016 as a Microsoft partner initiative for women in the Microsoft partner ecosystem, has opened up more opportunities to all women in technology, business and career. The global WIT communities have enhanced collaboration and have built a strong ecosystem of women who can provide support and mutual learning to any female working or aspiring to work in the IT industry.
Speaking on activities to launch the initiative in Nigeria, Chinwe Sophia Onuorah, Chair and convener, IAMCP WIT Nigeria, said, “The 21st century has ushered in many Technological advances. The internet, cloud, mobile and web solutions are defining and sharpening communications, the way business is done, lifestyles and the way we work.” She further stated that, “At IAMCP WIT Nigeria, there is an understanding of the challenges faced by women who pursue careers in the tech industry. Our ambition is to inspire girls to dream of jobs in technology and empower women across the globe to thrive throughout their careers and enable them to do amazing things that change the world.”
The event will have in attendance women from diverse professional industries and stakeholders from the technology industry.
