Intel, one of the world’s largest semi-conductor chip makers, recently introduced its Skylake PC microprocessor in Nigeria.
The new chip, which is the 6th Gen Intel Core Processor and the newest addition to the company’s family of PC microprocessors is built on Intel’s 14-nanometer manufacturing process and can start up a window 10 PC up to four times faster than the chips found in current PCs.
According to the company, the new Skylake has been designed to work best with the Windows 10, thereby providing a better overall experience and more secure computing for Windows 10 users.
Speaking at the event, Olubunmi Ekundare, Managing Director of Intel Corporation West Africa explained that, Skylake delivers far better performance in key areas like, lower power usage and enhanced graphics where it performs 30 times better than the current standard.
