HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has announced that its first Nokia smartphone range – comprising of the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are now available for purchase from selected operator and retail stores. Launched at an HMD Global event held in Lagos, Nokia claims the devices combine superior craftsmanship, distinctive design and entertainment features that are said to offer a pure Android experience.

From the new Nokia 3310 feature phone to our premium Nokia 6 smartphone, we are bringing phones to Nigeria that will entice and delight, while offering simplicity, reliability, quality and importantly, the human touch. Describing Nokia 6, Nokia said the Andriod comes with a superior craftsmanship and distinctive design with an immersive audio experience and a 5.5” full HD screen. It also claims that the Nokia 6 delivers a premium smartphone experience. The smart audio amplifier is also said to have dual speakers that give a deep bass and unmatched clarity.
Nokia 6 is praised for its outstanding colour reproduction and fully laminated display stack allowing clear sunlight readability without compromising the slim form. Powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 430 mobile platform and the Qualcomm® Adreno™ 505 graphics processor, the Nokia 6 boasts of the ability to strike balance between performance and power consumption. The Nokia 6 is available in three distinct colours – Matte Black, Silver and Tempered Blue – and is estimated to retail at N78,000.
Said to have been engineered out of a single block of 6000 series aluminium to give it a pillowed body that flows into the laminated 5.2” IPS HD display with sculpted Corning® Gorilla® Glass. The Nokia 5 is said to Feature an innovation in antenna design and has a robust structure.
Nokia 5 is reportedly powered by the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 430 mobile platform and delivers durable battery life, improved graphics performance. Nokia 5 is also said to come in a package that perfectly balances everyday usability with a premium quality design with additional features including an 8MP, 84-degree wide-angle front facing camera and an excellent sunlight and low light screen visibility
The Nokia 5 is available in four distinct colours – Matte Black, Silver, Tempered Blue and Copper– and is estimated to retail at N65,000.
The Nokia 3 has been available from the 7th of July 2017 from selected Retail outlets and is estimated to retail at N48, 000
The Nokia Andriod series are said to come with the latest Android features and a monthly security update. They are also is said to be safe, up-to-date as well as clutter-free – putting choice at the heart of the consumer experience. The new Nokia smartphones feature Google’s most recent innovation, the Google Assistant, and Nokia says it is building further on a great Android experience.
