Apple has released beta versions of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, and watchOS 10. The public beta versions will enable anyone with a compatible device to test the new features. Yes, anyone.
Before now, beta testers had to enroll on Apple’s website to test a software update. Now, however, you don’t have to sign up to test the iOS17 beta. On your iPhone, simply go to Settings, click General – Software Update and choose to install a beta version of iOS from the drop down menu.
While the update is already being tested by iOS enthusiasts, it still has a few bugs, and features that aren’t working as smoothly – so moderate your expectations.
The new iOS 17 features a new Journal app as well as the much talked about Standby Mode, Business card replacement, Offline maps, “Phone is too close to face” – an Apple screen time feature which warns users their face has been too close to their phone for extended periods of time, Live Voicemail, an updated Messages app and a lot more.
