An agreement in principle regarding the purchase of Parler has been reached by the social media platform and Kanye West. Parler is an American alt-tech social networking service associated with conservatives. This agreement follows Kanye’s ban on Instagram and Twitter recently.

By purchasing Parler, the rapper might be able to use his influence in the entertainment industry to pull users over to the platform.

According to recent reports, this purchase agreement will be conclusive before the end of this year. From the official statements from Parler’s Chief Executive Officer, the company is not bothered by the controversialist rapper. On its own, the social media platform has gotten into problems, leading to it being yanked off Apple and Android app stores.

Also speaking, Parler CEO, George Farmer says Kanye West concerns himself about being kicked out of Instagram and Twitter at close intervals. His purchase of Parler will help him exercise his freedom of speech to the fullest. Farmer also expresses his disgust about big social media firms in their quest to “de-platform people” who might want to share their opinions on issues concerning them.

At the moment, Kanye has risen from 91 followers on Parler to 39,000 in the space of days. Parler boasts of over 16.5 million followers on its platform, and that number is likely to grow with the “Kanye West effect.” The financial details of this purchase are not available at the moment.
