According to one of our sources, we hear that Sim Shagaya, ceo of Konga online shopping is involved in another online platform called Kleen (www.kleen.ng).
Though it is yet to launch officially, we hear that it is either owned or financed by Sim Shagaya.
We also requested a confirmation from a top executive in Konga and the report we got was “…..It’s being run by a friend of the company, that’s all…”
Kleen.ng is an online dry cleaning service outfit as it is themed as ‘Laundry & Dry Cleaning Made Easy‘ which will pick up and deliver customers’ laundry at their door step. Details about the operations are yet to be known but the information provided on the Facebook page and Twitter timeline reveals that the Minimum Order will be N3,000 with a delivery fee of N500. Free delivery will only be offered for orders above N5,000.
Well the launch date is yet to be announced but a visit to the website only collects information about those who wish to be informed when the platform launches. Anyone interested will subscribe by providing a mail ID, Phone number and location.
If this eventually turns out to be true, we believe that the growing internet penetration in Nigeria alongside Sim’s success in the ecommerce business must have been the motivation to start this up. I am also convinced that the wealth of experience and credibility he has got from online business will be a strong selling point to ensure patronage to make the business becomes a success.
