Linc Finance aims at digitalizing tithe payment for African churches

There is a growing shift to a more digital way of carrying out financial activities and Linc Finance is carrying African churches along.

Linc Finance is an Akwa Ibom based fintech start-up that aims at digitalizing tithes, donations, and offerings received by Churches. In an exclusive interview with Conqueror Conqueror the CEO of Linc Finance, we learn more about his start-up’s unique vision.

The church system gets a number of payments (tithes, offerings, pledges, etc) from its members weekly. Consequently, members of these churches have complained about managing these donated funds and how payments of these funds should be done.

Often, payment is only possible via a church or personal account. Some factors can hinder such offerings from getting to the church, like the multi-layered nature of financial practices in certain churches today, network issues with the sender or recipient’s bank, inexplicable bank charges and so on. In line with a digitalized banking system, Linc Finance is making tithing easier for both churches and their members. Building a financial application to serve the needs of African churches today is at the very core of Linc Finance’s growth mission.

Bring ye all the tithes into… Linc?

Linc Finance goes beyond just an online banking solution, it is a financial management platform for churches. Churches can not only collect tithes on behalf of members but also create multiple wallets to tackle various projects that the church has at hand. Via its services, churches can also process loans from Linc to tackle various needs and pay them back over a stipulated time frame.

According to Linc CEO, Conqueror, the platform is very accessible with a two-way approach to funding. “By saying “two-way approach to funding”, we mean that churches on one hand access the platform and receive tithe payments via the Linc website. On the other hand, members of the church can pay their tithes via the Linc app, accessible via the App Store and Google PlayStore. All you need to do is simply sign up on either platform; web for churches and the app for members.”

Online security is a major concern for many Africans today, and per security on Linc, Conqueror seems to be living up to his name even in his startup. He says, “Linc Finance along with all its partners have licences, hence you can ensure that your church’s funds are in good hands if they decide to use Linc’s services.”

Currently, Linc has over 7 churches actively using its services, with many more churches to be added in the coming months. Since its founding 3 months ago, Linc has processed transactions worth $41,000 securely. This transaction comes in the form of tithes and offerings paid by members of churches using its services.

Conqueror assures, “Linc Finance aims to grow out of the boundaries of Akwa Ibom state into the expanses of Nigeria, helping thousands of churches properly organize their financial activities.”

Do you own a church? Will you jump on the services Linc offers and digitalize your church funding?
