Earlier today, Microsoft unveiled LTE-enabled smartphones in South Africa. The gadgets are the Lumia 640 and Lumia 640XL.
They are the latest addition to Microsoft’s LTE / 4G devices Lumia portfolio. The LTE enabled devices are available for purchase in single or dual SIM range.
Head of product, Microsoft Mobile Devices for sub-Saharan Africa, Patrick Henchie said the Lumia 640 device is available on monthly contract prices starting from R219 for the dual SIM version, and R199 for the single SIM version, while it will cost R269 for Lumia 640 XL.
According to him, Lumia 640 and 640XL offer more personal computing and increased productivity, and integrated Microsoft Office experiences, which come with a one-year subscription to Office 365 Personal.
Other features include 1TB of OneDrive storage and both devices will be upgradeable to Windows 10 when it becomes available later this year.
