Multichoice Nigeria price increase takes effect on March 1, 2025. The Pay-TV operator informed customers about the new rates for DStv and GOtv.
This adjustment follows previous price hikes in 2023 and 2024, reflecting rising operational costs.

DStv customers will experience the following price changes:
- Compact bouquet: From N15,700 to N19,000 (+25%)
- Compact Plus: From N25,000 to N30,000 (+20%)
- Premium: From N37,000 to N44,500 (+20%)

Reason for the Increase
Multichoice Nigeria attributes the price increase to rising costs. The company cites inflation, currency depreciation, and higher business expenses.
Impact on Subscribers
Last year, the company lost 243,000 subscribers between April and September 2024. Many customers canceled due to previous price hikes.
Customer Reactions
The latest increase may spark fresh outrage, as past increments led to backlash. Some customers challenged the changes at the Consumer Protection Tribunal.
