The number of women in Nigeria actively involved in technology is increasing on a daily basis, but these women also face challenges that tend to be stumbling blocks to their progress. As such, NESA and Cranium One are hosting a FemTech Fireside Chat to bring together young women interested in tech careers with role models from the field.
The goal is to share success stories of opportunities waiting for women in tech and also to connect women interested/ active in software development with women experts in the tech industry.
Guests speakers at the event include Abisoye Ajayi, co-founder Girls Coding and Oluwadamisi Busari, Product Manager at Flutterwave.
NESA, a New Economy Skills Accelerator is a lagos-based software development school that offers job placement upon program completion. NESA is particularly interested in supporting young women wanting to become successful software developers.
The event is set to take place at Cranium One, 1 Towry Close, off Idejo, VI, Lagos, on the 9th of June 2017, at 7pm.
