Called Netflix Profile Transfer, the feature will help users move from one account to another while retaining their already set recommendations. All data concerning the user moving from one account to another follows them to help them keep up with their favourite shows and movies.
Announcing the availability of this feature globally, Netflix said, “People move. Families grow. Relationships end. But throughout these life changes, your Netflix experience should stay the same.” So, whatever event might make you lose out on access to a shared Netflix account, the platform has got your back.
At the moment, this feature is still rolling out to users around the globe. Each account user will get an email informing them that their account is eligible for Netflix Profile Transfer. Once available, a user can effortlessly move out from a shared account and get their account with all recommendations in one piece.
To make use of this feature once you get it, the streaming platform provides a guide. To get the profile transfer process rolling, head over to the drop-down menu on the homepage. Select the “Transfer Profile” option that will be part of the menu and follow the instructions given.
