Only days after iStores told us we could now buy the IPad Pro from its stores here in Nigeria, Apple has announced a new version of the same device. This new version is a 9.7 inch iPad Pro, another big announcement at Apple’s spring event yesterday.
It’s portable and just as powerful as the 12.9 inch iPad Pro.
Its features include;
- a 9.7-inch screen
- 2048×1536 resolution screen.
- 12-megapixel camera with 4K video
- 5-megapixel front-facing camera with Retina flash
- A9X processor
- Comes in silver, space grey, gold and rose gold.
- a four-speaker array
- an updated screen that offers Apple Pencil support
The iPad Pro 9.7 also comes with a new feature called ‘True Tone display’, which according to Apple, adjusts the tablet’s colour temperature based on the available natural light. Philip Schiller Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide marketing also mentioned that the new tablet is 25 percent brighter than the iPad Air 2.
Apples latest tablet comes in 3 models – 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. All are available for pre-order by March 24 and will be available for purchase in select countries on March 31 (just like the iPhone SE).
How much does it cost?
$599 for the 32GB model
$749 for the 128GB model and
$899 for 256GB model.
There’s no word when this new iPad Pro will be available in Nigeria and I’ve got no idea it’ll cost when Apple finally decides to bring it here.
