Focub Hub which is Niger Delta’s first incubation hub is accepting applications. The hub plans to be the go-to for all things social entreprenuership for both early stage or growth stage startups solving local community problems using technology.
They are not accepting ideas. Instead, they are interested in working prototype or Minimum Viable Product will be accepted. You can apply here before October 20, 2015.
The hub is aiming to give entrepreneurs in the region access to leading mentors, venture capitalists and tech industry experts to help them follow their tracks and become big success instead of re-inventing the wheel and failing on their own. The hub is also promising a huge pool of talent from its volunteers, interns, engineers among others to help them with their technical or business skills needs.
Startups at Focus Hub will also have access to office space, internet, coffee, meeting rooms and printing services as well as networking sessions with investors to access funding, legal help from IP officers among others.
According to TechMoran, Focus Hub aims to change the Niger Delta by being the launchpad of the regions startups and as their partner to success countrywide and globally. For a startup to be incubated at Focus Hub, it has to come from one of the Nine Niger Delta states, their business idea should be able to solve a social problem in the Niger Delta, the idea should be technologically viable and the startup should have maximum of three individuals working on the idea full-time.
