Nigerian agritech startup, 4 others make Baobab Network Cohort 1’23

This is Baobab Network’s first cohort of the year and it includes 5 startups from Nigeria, Togo, Kenya, Morocco and Guinea Conakry.

Nigerian agritech startup, ePoultry has made the list of 5 investees in Baobab Network’s latest cohort.

Based in Nairobi, Baobab Network is one of Africa’s leading tech accelerator that invests in early – stage tech companies across Africa. 

Baobab Network has just recently announced its first cohort of the year; Cohort 1 ’23. This cohort includes 5 startups from Nigeria, Togo, Kenya, Morocco and Guinea Conakry.

Each company in this latest cohort gets $50,000 in funding and a customized expert – led accelerator programme. 

On the list of the 5 investees are :

  • Afrigility ; a Kenyan logistics startup, offering B2B e-commerce warehousing solutions.
  • Easychain; Togo based logistics startup that provides integrated logistics solutions via Air, Sea and Road freight services.
  • MuduPay; A fintech startup from Guinea Conakry that built a platform for Africans to move money via online payments.
  • Colis.ma from Morocco,  provides digitized operations for transporters and helps customers to find, compare and  choose, transporters based on individual preferences and also track their transportation.
  • ePoultry is a Nigerian dynamic B2B agricultural marketplace for poultry farmers, leveraging technology to provide funding, technical skills and access to market for smallholder poultry farmers.  It is  Nigeria’s first digital poultry investment platform, enabling people to remotely invest in poultry farming without directly operating the farm.

Baobab Network has been accelerating African startups for 4 years and has increased its portfolio size to 40 startups with the additional 5 of cohort 1 ‘ 23.
