QorePay, a new financial technology company, has launched in Nigeria,
The company says its mission is to build hassle-free, fast, seamless, and secure payments for Businesses in the African economy.
Co- Gounders Joshua Owoseni (CEO) and Tolani Ogunsola (CFO) launched Qorepay earlier this month.
Targeting small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the company aims to onboard over 50, 000 small businesses and provide them with the solutions that can help them grow their businesses leveraging technology.
Co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of Qorepay, Tolani Ogunsola confirmed this white speaking at the launch.
QorePay also wants to ensure that every SME in Nigeria transitions from the traditional payment system to digital payment system.
Mr Tolani, hinted that one of the firm’s core strategies is to go out to small businesses across Nigeria to bring them into the payment system
The company’s objectives also include deepening financial inclusion.
According to reports, CEO , Joshua Owoseni believes that the improved internet access in Nigeria has provided virile grounds for this.
Fintech companies can grow and Nigerians can be financially included.
Highlighting this at the launch, Joshua Owoseni said
…”We see the growth of mobile phones and internet access; these provide a field for fintech to explore the market and create solutions for all Nigerians to be financially included.”
According to him,the company has witnessed many challenges in Nigeria’s payment ecosystem, which it wants to solve.
He identified payment processing in the country as cumbersome, time-consuming, and not affordable in most cases.
To address these issues , he said the company is providing hassle-free, secure, and simple payment solutions for everyone.
He added that the solution provided includes real time fraud detection.
“We are creating a solution that is easy to use and with the advantage of being able to detect fraud in real time.” he said
