This is calling on all Software developers, Data Analysts, Data Scientists, GIS experts, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence experts, and UX/UI Designers in Nigeria to apply for the Data4Governance Challenge.

CcHUB in partnership with the World Bank, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, The European Union, Korea International Co-operation Agency and the Department for International Development is hosting the Data4Governance Challenge.

The event is a 3-day design for development hackathon scheduled to hold from the February 17th to February 19th, 2020. Teams will compete to leverage data to create compelling narratives, visualisations and models that will be used by the government to improve service delivery and by citizens to promote political participation in governance.

The 3-day challenge in Lagos will bring together hackers across the areas of design, data science, data analytics, software development, machine learning and artificial intelligence to build models and prototypes to illuminate an immense amount of data on Nigeria. The first prize winner with the best visualizations will be awarded cash prizes of up to $10,000 while the second prize and third prize will go home with $6,000 and $4,000.
