The highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be officially unveiled with the Smart watch (Galaxy Gear) on Wednesday, 4th September 2013 during a special Samsung event in Berlin.
Rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 phablet have been piling up for months, with leaks and details springing up on an almost-weekly basis. Although Samsung is yet to reveal any official specifications, here are few specs we expect from Samsung.
Hardware Specification:
Samsung co-CEO Shin Jong-kyun claimed the Galaxy Note 3 will feature a 5.9-inch display, meaning that it will be larger than its 5.3 and 5.5-inch predecessors though the most recent rumors suggest it will have a 5.7-inch display.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be designed based on sharp angles, while the edges are not as round as the one of the previous generation or the one of the Galaxy S4. One begins to wonder if Samsung planning to return to the design of Galaxy Note and Galaxy S2.
The device will posses Samsung’s Super AMOLED screen with a 1920×1080 display, with full HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Although Samsung is planning to produce cheaper Galaxy Note 3 for emerging markets, this will have the super AMOLED tech replaced with LCD unit.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will come with 13 megapixel camera mounted on the back with enhanced with 4K video recording support. The phablet will come in three body colors, the white and black variants which will be available at the launch, later followed by a pink model.
We are also expecting the device to come with an improved S Pen.
Software Specification:
The Samsung phablet is expected to run the latest version of Android, 4.3 Jelly Bean Operating syste. The Galaxy Note 3 could also be the first smartphone to feature a 3GB RAM which could translate to highly improved performance and a choice of varying internal storage of 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB.
There will be two Galaxy Note 3 processor variants: one powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-core Exynos 5420 processor and another by Qualcomm’s flaghsip Snapdragon 800 chipset. Sources close to the Korean phone maker say that the first 4 million Galaxy Note 3 units will come equipped with the Qualcomm processing unit.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also expected to feature connectivity options worthy of a modern smartphone with the likes of NFC, 4G LTE, WiFi in all standards, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy, Infra Red, and microUSB 2.0 among them.
